EFFEFF 1023 throw-open bolt

Mechanics

Striking plates are the accessories of mortise locks, they have to be installed on the opposite side into the frame. So the latch and dead bolts get into the right place.

With distance plates you can reduce the space between the mortise lock and the opposite side as required. This is essential for the proper operation of the mortise lock.

For doors without a lock, where a strike is to be applied, a counterpart built into the door leaf, a so called mechanical latch bolt is to be used.

Our press-open bolts increase the load on the strike latch. This is to be aware of when selecting an electric strike.

If the door has no lock or it is a sliding door a hook bolt mortise lock is needed.
