The effeff 509E motor mortise lock and the multipoint version 519E feature built-in control electronics having the most needed basic functionality and a Hi-O interface.
If additional functions like signal contacts, time settings, auxiliary door contacts, etc. are needed the universal connecting interface UII 901-IC-4 can be used.

The built-in electronics of the mortise lock communicates with the UII 901-IC-4 unit through the Hi-O bus interface, which takes over the control functions. If you are using the UII-module, the built-in controls of the lock can be turned off, all control and monitoring functions run through the bus-connection. Thus system manipulation via the cables is out of the question.
