This mechanical security lock is used where the locking of a door has to be ensured by a 20 mm dead bolt throw for insurance reasons.
These locks have a continuous handle follower and therefore require a handle-knob (exchange) fitting (handle or panic rod inside, knob or grab bar on the outside).
Mortise locks with a short depth are used for doors with a very slim (< 120 mm) frame.
